1609,The year Shakespeare first published his sonnets, Galileo demonstrated the 1st telescope, James VI was on the throne and England was reeling from the Gunpowder plot.

1609,The first brick was laid and The Wheatsheaf was founded.  Historical events since that time have left their mark on Inn, creating rooms full of secrets and whispers of the past.
