Dine and Drink

The Wheatsheaf Won Pub of the Year!

Nestled in a beautiful 16th-century setting, The Wheatsheaf is a place to relax, refuel and enjoy good food and drink in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re joining us for a long lunch, an evening meal, or a quiet drink after exploring the surrounding countryside, you’ll find a traditional country inn where comfort, quality and friendly service come first.

Muddy boots and well-behaved dogs are always welcome.

Drinking at The Wheatsheaf

Our bar offers a carefully chosen range of drinks, from locally brewed ales and craft beers to quality wines, curated gins and distinctive rums.

We proudly serve local favourites alongside interesting finds from further afield, as well as freshly brewed coffee and loose-leaf teas — perfect whether you’re stopping for a quick refreshment or settling in for the afternoon.

Pull up a stool at the bar, find a cosy corner, or enjoy a drink outside when the weather allows.

Dining at The Wheatsheaf

Our kitchen focuses on freshly prepared, homemade dishes using quality ingredients from trusted local suppliers.

Our menus are carefully curated and change to reflect the seasons, offering comforting pub classics alongside lighter and more contemporary options. We cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets, and detailed allergen information is always available.

Whether you’re joining us for breakfast, lunch, dinner, Sunday lunch or a special occasion, our aim is simple: honest food, cooked well, and served with care.
