We are absolutely delighted to share that The Wheatsheaf Inn has been named a finalist in the prestigious Cumbria Tourism Pub of the Year Awards 2026.
To be recognised alongside some of the very best pubs in Cumbria is something we are incredibly proud of, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to our customers, team, suppliers, locals and visitors who continue to support us.
As many of you know, The Wheatsheaf is a historic 17th-century coaching inn at the heart of Beetham. Over the past few years, we have worked hard to blend the character and charm of the building with continual improvements to the experience we offer our guests — from our food and accommodation to new ideas like The Hole Inn One golf simulator experience.
Being shortlisted for this award reflects the dedication of our entire team, who work tirelessly behind the scenes every day to create a warm, welcoming and memorable experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

We are also proud that our recent investments and improvements continue to support tourism and year-round experiences in the area, helping both locals and visitors enjoy everything this beautiful part of Cumbria has to offer.
